In the coming months, The Apple Apparently, the company is planning a new 13 ” MacBook without M-Soc, an iPhone 17e and a new iPad 12.b Apple is expected to plan a number of new launches, all of which should belong to the entry-level segment and should therefore be particularly affordable.

With the iPhone 16e (review), the group had inherited the iPhone SE series only in February and promoted it to the current decade in terms of design and price. The entry-level iPhone became more expensive, but also received support for Apple Intelligence. Now the “iPhone e” should go into the second round, as analyst Jeff Pu of GF Securities announces according to MacRumors. Next spring there will be a chip upgrade to the A19 SoC from the iPhone 17 and the new 18 MP Centerstage front camera could also migrate to the cheapest model.

What was implemented with the iPhone e is now also to follow for the MacBook: Below the MacBook Pro is only the MacBook Air so far, under that now an even cheaper entry into the world of macOS is to be offered with a new MacBook model. Many details are not yet known, but what is considered set is that Apple is saving on the chip. Because instead of an M-SoC, as in all new MacBooks since 2021, only an A-SoC from the iPhone should be installed.

Presumably, this is supposed to be an A18 Pro and thus the chip of the iPhone 16 Pro, as Ming-Chi Kuo (X) already told in the summer. For this, the price should fall by a few hundred dollars, Bloomberg wrote a few weeks ago.

    New iPad 12

After the iPad Pro received the M5 chip a few weeks ago, the normal entry-level iPad should also get a new chip. The current 11th generation is to be replaced in the coming weeks by a 12th generation with the A18 chip from the iPhone 16. This procedure is common for Apple, because the entry-level iPad has been receiving only the iPhone chips for years. The iPad Air will also be equipped with the M5 chip next year.

    Further performances

Apple is also said to be working on more MacBooks with M5 Pro and Max, as well as finally introducing the new AI Siri with Google’s Gemini. With this, the group could then also show new HomePods and other smart home devices in the coming year. The performance has not been shown so far, because the smarter Siri has not appeared.
