Acer is also introducing a new generation of the Aspire series with brand new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors at CES 2026. Acer Aspire 14 AI and Aspire 16 AI rely on versatile equipment variants for a wide variety of performance requirements – optionally also with OLED and a flexible 180–degree hinge.
Acer Aspire 14 AI and Aspire 16 AI relies on Core Ultra 300H
The Acer Aspire 14 AI (A14-171 M/T) and Acer Aspire 16 AI (A16-171M/T) are equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H in the maximum configuration. The new models can be equipped with up to 32 GB of memory of the soldered type LPDDR5X and up to 2 TB of SSD memory. The display options available are WUXGA IPS displays in 16:10 aspect ratio with refresh rates of up to 120 Hz, which are available in both touch and non-touch configuration, as well as OLED panel options.
Pcdecode was able to take a look at the first devices on site in Las Vegas. The focus at Aspire is clearly on the comparatively cheap entry. For this, there are usually also smaller processors, not the fastest RAM and the rest of the equipment is not “premium”.
That’s why the systems were mostly equipped with Intel Core Ultra 5 300H and Core Ultra 7 300H on site – these are Intel’s bread and butter solutions for the mobile market. The X series of the new Panther Lake processors with a stronger graphics unit, on the other hand, will be placed in more expensive devices, including Acer’s Swift AI and Swift Go AI – more about this in a separate message.
Trading from the 2nd quarter
However, according to Acer, the new Aspire 14 AI and Aspire 16 AI will be available only from the second quarter. In view of the price development of RAM and SSD, no price for the German market is mentioned here today either.
However, Acer plans to proceed like other OEMs: OEMs want to keep the entry-level price at the known level as best as possible, but there will be adjustments to configurations above this level, aka price surcharges, for upgrades.
