The older graphics cards and tested them with Battlefield 6, with which the game should actually run very poorly according to the minimum system requirements.
Will Battlefield 6 support older hardware including GPUs from 10 years ago?
Electronic Arts states that Battlefield 6 requires at least one RTX-2060 graphics card with 6 GiB of RAM in the minimum system configuration in order to be able to play with it in 1080p at around 30 Fps. That didn’t stop us or some youtubers from testing the game with models that are almost ten years old.
Our oldest, tested GPU, a GTX 1070 with 8 GiB, has at least brought it to an average of 30.9 Fps in our benchmark tests in Full HD with maximum details and thus reached the value that EA only calls from an RTX 2060 at low settings. You can read about our benchmarks with a total of 27 tested processors and 34 graphics cards (including the Vega 56) here.
On Youtube, content creator Daniel Owen also tested Battlefield 6 with the GTX 1070 (8 GiB of RAM) and used the five-year-old Ryzen 5 5600X in terms of CPU. His tests also show that Battlefield 6 can be played well with the configuration that is actually not recommended, although of course you have to make compromises with the graphics.
At low graphics settings without upscaling, it reached an average of 55 to 65 Fps in Full HD, with FSR in the “balanced” mode it reached up to 90 Fps. In a 1440p resolution with activated FSR in quality mode, he was also able to achieve an average of 60 Fps, without upscaling around 45 fps.
Will RX 580 run Battlefield 6?
The youtuber @Randomgaminginhd has organized another Geforce GTX 1650 Super (4 GiB RAM) as a test object. As a CPU, he used an Intel Core i5-12400F from 2022 for his tests. He was also able to achieve good results with the old graphics card, taking into account the age and, of course, the low graphics settings.
He performed all his tests in Full HD and achieved 55 to 60 Fps without upscaling. With FSR enabled, he increased the frame rate to 50 to 75 Fps in ultra-performance mode, with TAA and a native resolution reduced by 50 percent, he reached 60 to 80 Fps.
Which graphics card do you use for Battlefield 6?
