The Lenovo Legion Go 2, equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z2, 16 GB LPDDR5X-8000, and an 8.8-inch OLED display, will launch in September, starting price at €999. The Ryzen Z2 Extreme carries a significant premium.
As expected, Lenovo used the IFA 2025 in Berlin to officially present the 2nd generation of its handheld PC, the Lenovo Legion Go 2 or Lenovo Legion Go (8.8, 2), now. The technical specifications speculated for a very long time in advance have largely been confirmed, but the non-binding sales prices are significantly higher than expected.
Lenovo Legion Go 2 Specs
The Lenovo Legion Go 2, which is officially called Lenovo Legion Go (8.8, 2), comes in the basic configuration with an AMD Ryzen Z2, 16 GiByte LPDDR5X-8000 and a 512 GiByte PCIe SSD, for which Lenovo has set a high RRP of 999 euros. The first generation still came to retail at a price of 799 euros. The Ryzen Z2 is a re-labeled Ryzen Z1 Extreme, which still uses the tried-and-tested Zen 4 and RDNA 3 microarchitectures and thus cannot bring any performance improvements to the previous generation.
Players who include an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme based on Zen 5 and RDNA 3.5 in their configuration will be asked to pay. Although there is no EIA for Europe yet, a high $ 1,479.99 without a flexible tax rate is being called in the USA for the model with Ryzen Z2 Extreme, 32 GiByte LPDDR5X-8000 and 2 TiByte SSD storage space, as Lenovo has already officially confirmed.
Lenovo Legion Go 2 Price and Specs
The biggest change compared to the Lenovo Legion Go of the first generation is made by the manufacturer with the display, which in the case of the Lenovo Legion Go 2 relies on a panel that still measures 8.8 inches, but now relies on OLED technology and has a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 pixels in WUXGA. The refresh rate remains at 144 Hz, while the maximum brightness is 500 cd/m3.

The battery, which has grown from 49 to 74 watt-hours, can also make a big difference, which can offer an enormous advantage, especially for mobile use. The operating system is again a conventional Windows 11 Home, which can also be replaced by a gaming distribution such as SteamOS or CachyOS by the user.
